The campaign created by Wieden+Kennedy aims to celebrate the return of the tournament, inspire people to celebrate their achievements
Budweiser, the official beer of the FIFA World Cup, has launched its campaign for this year’s World Cup.
With the motto The World Cup o Nosso Palco, the campaign created by Wieden+Kennedy brings the Brazilian Neymar Jr., the Argentine Lionel Messi and the Englishman Raheem Sterling to celebrate the return of the tournament, inspire people to reach their goals and celebrate your achievements.
The idea is to take the feeling experienced by the athletes before the matches to the fans and inspire them to take the next step in the pursuit of their big dreams, making an analogy with the path taken by people in their lives. The initiative is supported by the new version of the song Everybody Wants to Rule the World, by the band Tears for Fears.
In the last few years, we have been going through super tough times as a society and after four years and a pandemic, we will finally be able to enjoy the great world party that is the World Cup. That’s why we, from Budweiser, will bring a message of optimism and determination, which celebrates the importance of people’s journey to the realization of their dreams, said Carolina Caracas, director of Budweiser.
The global campaign will be launched in more than 70 countries, being the largest in the brand’s history. The initiative is part of a series of actions that Budweiser is preparing for the World Cup.
