MSD Saúde Animal carries out a social action, through activations with influencers and celebrities on social networks, with a focus on helping abandoned companion animals. The movement is part of the Bravecto do Bem project, which supports causes that promote the health and well-being of needy pets, and has 10 personalities, including Paolla Oliveira and Ivete Sangalo. The initiative will be carried out throughout 2022 and will benefit, on average, 800 dogs and cats.
Each digital influencer participating in the action chose an animal NGO that they would like to support with products from the Bravecto line, in order to assist in the care and health of pets that are waiting for a home. With this, the personality posted on Instagram about the action and the importance of helping a social cause, highlighting the choice and history with that institution.
According to Andressa Reis, product manager at MSD Saúde Animal, the choice of celebrities was due to the sharing of the same purpose as the company and also with the objective of amplifying the visibility of such an important social cause. According to her:
“All influencers, including Ivete and Paolla, are involved in the pet world, as they have a passion for animals and even participate in social causes. Allowing each influencer to define the NGO they would like to support will help us with the mission to broaden the exposure of Bravecto do Bem and especially to encourage responsible adoption.”
Activations started in February and will be carried out until December, one each month. In addition to Ivete and Paolla, the profiles Family Surf Dog (Bono, the surfer dog), Malcom Salsicha, Mada e Bica and Seu Pet Art have already participated in the action.
Júlia Aleixo, digital marketing coordinator at MSD Saúde Animal, comments:
“The intention is for the project to be something continuous, because such a beautiful social action must always take place. We chose to carry out these activations on digital to amplify the scope of the theme and consequently raise awareness of the social cause linked to the health and well-being of animals.”
