Canal Rural, a company controlled by the J&F group, announced its international expansion by closing a partnership with Unitel, the largest television network in Bolivia. The Canal Rural Bolivia is being launched in the Andean country.
With the movement, it intends to enhance the production of journalistic content on agriculture and food in Latin America. Initially, the focus is on the transmission of Bolivian auctions and content generation. And, over time, expand to other areas of agribusiness.
“Bolivian audiences were already used to watching Brazilian auctions, through the Canal Rural signal. Now with the partnership, all the broadcast content will be thinking about the Bolivian market, with the intention of involving the rancher even more and developing the local market Unitel has the audience of this public, which is the rural producer, and we, from Canal Rural, are pioneers in the livestock commercialization format, via auctions”, says Plnio Queiroz, Livestock director at Canal Rural.
The programming of Canal Rural Bolivia will be divided between the transmission of Bolivian auctions and journalistic programming of Canal Rural, with emphasis on the programs Giro do Boi, Mercado e Cia and Rural Notícias, which will be broadcast via Canal Rural Brasil. The other contents will be from Bolivian programs.
