After the release of his latest album ‘The Lockdown Sessions’, Elton John, in partnership with AKQA, released the video ‘The Ultimate Zoom Call’, which features 20 of the top names in music worldwide who participated remotely in the recording of 16 tracks on the new disk during lockdown.
In a video call, in addition to the English singer, Dua Lipa, Damon Albarn, Stevie Wonder, Miley Cyrus, Lil Nas X, Stevie Nicks, Young Thug, Charlie Puth and Eddie Vedder, among others, live the classic situations that characterized our communication in last two years: muted mic talk, weak internet connection, pet filter, background noise and unexpected interruptions.
The film is a celebration of the way people have found to continue to work, interact and create music under challenging circumstances.
“Collaborating with Sir Elton John and some of the biggest names in the music industry was a dream briefing. The past two years have been very challenging, and those challenges have forced new ways of thinking. I’ve never seen such energy and creativity in a video call,” said Sam Kelly, CMO at AKQA.
