You may remember the time when all that scandal came out as Armie Hammer. Because of it all, he dropped out of several roles he was already committed to. The first of them was Shotgun Wedding, with Jennifer Lopez. At the time, the actor said he didn’t want to be away from his kids for four months to film in the Dominican Republic at a time when so much was happening. Obviously few bought this story. The most likely option was that the production didn’t want to get in trouble with the actor’s scandal. So much so that it was soon confirmed that Josh Duhamel had taken on the role. And now, Prime Video has announced that the film will arrive directly on streaming on January 27, 2023, under the title of Armed Marriage.
The film tells the story of Darcy (Jennifer Lopez) and Tom (Josh Duhamel). They gather their lovely, but very stubborn families, in a special distant location for weddings. But at the same time, the couple begins to be apprehensive about the union and the event itself. As if that wasn’t threatening enough, the lives of everyone present are in danger when they are taken hostage. “Until death do us part” takes on a whole new meaning as Darcy and Tom try to save their loved ones — before they kill each other first.
In addition to Lopez and Duhamel, the cast also includes Jennifer Coolidge, Sônia Braga, Cheech Marin, Selena Tan, D’Arcy Carden, Callie Hernandez, and Lenny Kravitz. Armed Marriage is directed by Jason Moore (The perfect choice). You’ve probably seen a lot of similar-themed movies, but it’s always nice to see a romantic comedy. Especially when you have two beautiful ones like Jennifer and Josh.
