Band announced that it has partnered with the UFC, a competition that will begin airing in 2023. The network plans to broadcast 12 live events throughout the year, between main and preliminary cards.
The package includes simultaneous broadcasts on digital, with exhibitions on the Bandplay app and on the channel’s website, and a program on Fridays with content about the fights previews and competition highlights.
For the market, the broadcaster is putting on the market seven sponsorship quotas, six of which are in the master modality and one is a Top 5″. There are also local quotas.
Cris Moreira, Grupo Bandeirantes’ general marketing director, highlighted the importance of sports for the broadcaster, which currently has Formula 1, the NBA and now the UFC.
“It is important to show customers the opportunities that exist in the sports field and everything that can be generated with top brands,” he said.
The launch of the partnership, on Wednesday (21), included training in an octagon set up for the event. Rodrigo Minotauro, UFC ambassador at
Brazil, and the fighters Allan Nascimento, Caio Borralho, Luana Carolina,
Polyana Viana and Ricardo Ramos taught coups to the station’s presenters.
