Creative map simulates voting day with informative content ranging from how to find the electoral college to which positions will be in dispute
A few days before the elections, the organization Politize! and the startup Pixel Hunters launched an educational map in Fortnite to help with voting, which takes place next Sunday (2).
The map aims to bring young voters closer to the voting processes that take place in real life, guiding gamers on issues, such as documents that must be taken, beyond the electoral college.
In addition, the initiative also wants to explain the functions of each political office in Brazil and the functioning of government structures.
Recent data reported by the president of the Superior Electoral Court (TSE), Minister Edson Fachin, show that Brazil gained more than 2 million teenage voters between January and April of this year, which represents a growth of 47.2% in relation to the same period in 2018.
“As influencers, we know that most Fortnite players are in the age group that votes for the first time or are close to that moment. We therefore decided to use the tools of the game’s creative mode to simulate the voting experience, teaching them how to exercise their right as a citizen in the right way”, explains Henrique Mancini (Sharshock), founding partner of Pixel Hunters.
