Campaign ‘O Poder Est nas Nossas’ has the signature of Africa
Data from the Forest Monitor, from the PlenaMata platform, revealed that, between January and September of this year, more than 400 million trees were felled in the Brazilian Amazon. During this period, more than 1.6 million trees were lost per day, an average of 1,156 per minute, 19 per second.
And to warn about the urgency of deforestation, Natura has been promoting, since the beginning of this month, a series of initiatives with the objective of bringing knowledge to the public about this serious problem, instigating and mobilizing the population around effective actions to contain the devastation in the region.
The larger initiative is a counter of trees felled in the Amazon region, which has become part of Brasília’s daily life. Since September 5th, Day of the Amazon, the giant screen of Conic, facing Esplanada dos Ministries, displays real-time estimates of the trees felled in the Amazon, reflected in the PlenaMata online platform.
And, on Thursday night (29), Natura presented, during the break of the Presidential Debate on Globo, a special film directly aimed at candidates: Candidates, I lose more than 350,000 trees just during this debate . What is the plan to stop my deforestation?.
More than calling attention to the climate impact, urban intervention and the set of actions bring, during the electoral period, questions to candidates about effective actions to combat the degradation of the Amazon forest, in addition to inviting voters to reflect on the importance of their vote. for the conservation and regeneration of the biome.
The panel, film, TV and social vignettes – and the campaign are signed by the Africa agency.
