Continuing the “Segue Arrepiando” campaign, which celebrates a decade of the Golden Year of Timão, Nike and Corinthians present an immersive experience for fans. Created by Wieden+Kennedy São Paulo, the action is inspired by the club’s victory in Japan, in 2012: mainly, on the strength of the loyal fans, who invaded the Guarulhos airport and went to the other side of the world to lift the team to the last second – making history that year.
The campaign features a container that simulates the reverse route that Corinthians took to reach the Land of the Rising Sun, including stops in London and Cairo, until arriving at Neo Química Arena with the club’s new number 3 shirt.
Since Monday (26/09), fans have been following the story of the container’s journey at nike.com/corinthians and on the club’s social media. The stops – fictitious – were carried out in the host countries of the clubs that Corinthians faced during the World Cup. Leaving Yokohama, the first trip was to London, remembering the final against Chelsea. After England, the structure stopped in Egypt, remembering the game with Al Ahly, and finally, the arrival in Itaquera, giving new meaning to the lived history returning to Timão’s house.
Now, the container materializes in the Neo Química Arena and offers an unprecedented and immersive experience that aims to thrill fans and relive the memories of 2012. The space houses celebratory elements, such as the World Cup trophy, Japanese newspapers and illustrations that recount the most highlights of the 2012 final in Japan.
The container will be open for free visitation this Thursday (10/06) from 12:00 to 17:00 and on Saturday (10/08), from 17:00 to 00:00, during the match between Corinthians and Athletico-PR, for the Brazilian Championship . On 10/08, access to the container location will only be released upon presentation of the game ticket.
