AXN this week announced the new season premieres of two of its best shows. Candice Renoir e Bright Minds arrive with new episodes this Wednesday, the 5th. At 9 pm, the eighth season of Candice. Then, at 22, it’s time for the third season of Bright Minds.
Candice Renoir
For those who don’t know, both are worth it. Candice’s story is as follows: Candice Renoir (Cecile Bois) is an excellent detective. After having her fourth child, she decides to take time off work to focus on her family. She spends a decade traveling with her children and her husband due to his work. But her marriage ends up having a turbulent end. With the children already grown, Candice decides to return to work in the French police in the city of Montpellier. She ends up running into trouble with the head of the police department. But she quickly proves her ability and her skills as a detective.
The series is currently in its 10th season. Here in Brazil, the first seven are available on Now. Now, in the eighth premiere on AXN, it all picks up where the last one left off. And he even promises to answer some questions. Will Antoine (Raphael Lenglet) regain his memory? How far will Candice (Cécile Bois) go to protect her love of life? With the captain amnesiac, their relationship seems to be back to square one. What is known is that in the new episodes, situations from the past will be central to Commander Renoir. Whether it’s solving cases or dealing with her personal dramas.
Bright Minds
I already wrote here about Bright Minds when a first season debuted on AXN. For those who don’t know, the story begins with an investigation by Commander Raphaëlle Coste (Lola Dewaere). This leads her to visit the archives of the Paris Judiciary Police. It is there that Coste meets a brilliant and unsettling young woman. Astrid (Sara Mortensen) is capable of memorizing countless details from thousands of investigations. And soon the two, so different, begin to work together in several police cases.
The first two seasons are also on Now. Now in the third, Astrid is seeking revenge for her father’s death. She will spare no effort to thoroughly investigate what happened. And, more than ever, her friendship with Raphaelle will be fundamental. Especially to solve the new challenges that arise in their journeys together. In addition, the two will also have to deal with sentimental issues. After all, Raphaëlle is starting to get over Mathias (Hubert Delattre). And so she starts to notice Nicolas (Benoît Michel) in a different way. Astrid is taking the first step with Tetsuo (Kengo Saito).
But there’s more…
But not only that. This month, AXN will release two other series of the same genre. One is the French detective series, District 31. Epremiere with double episode from 21:05. On the 17th, at 10:55 pm, it’s time to Pericia Lab. It is an original Brazilian documentary series. The presentation is by André Ramiro. There is also the participation of the criminal expert Ricardo Salada and the expert photographer Telma Rocha. The series will reconstruct iconic criminal cases from the point of view of real-life experts.
