Netflix movie premieres this Wednesday (5)
David Miami has teamed up with Netflix for the release of ‘Mr. Harrigan’s Phone’, a movie about a boy and an elderly billionaire who get together over books – and their first iPhones, even though the old man wasn’t very fond of technology.
But when the billionaire dies, strange things start to happen, a fact that leads the boy to think about his friend’s involvement.
For the launch, Netflix transformed the cryptic messages, sent by the late Mr. Harrigan in the feature, in secret codes on billboards in New York’s Time Square, and on Los Angeles’ Sunset Blvd. In addition, whoever passed by the place received the secret codes via Bluetooth.
The film brings up the excessive use of technology in everyday life, so much so that the campaign still asks people to bury their old cell phones so they no longer receive messages from Mr. Harrigan from beyond the grave. In return, they will receive a free month of Netflix.
Mr. Harrigan’s Phone premieres this Wednesday (5th) on Netflix.
