Jared Leto will play Karl Lagerfeld in new film

In an interview with Women’s Wear Daily, the actor spoke about the film. ” Karl would be proud of what we’re doing. Karl was an artist. Point. He was a fashion designer, a photographer, an artist. There is no definition for it. He was a creative power.”

Karl Lagerfeld, who died in 2019, was one of the biggest names in contemporary fashion. He was the creative director of Chanel and Fendi. He also had his own fashion house, named after him. Over the decades, Lagerfeld has collaborated on numerous fashion and art projects. He had a particularly remarkable and authentic style. And for that very reason, he was quite controversial. He has always shown himself to be objective and critical, making numerous jokes that are difficult to accept in the fashion world. His trademark was his white hair, sunglasses and gloves.

As the film project is still in the early stages, there aren’t many details. What is known is that the production has the support of Karl Lagerfeld fashion house. And they themselves declared that the film “will show relationships that were key in Lagerfeld’s life. All through an unpredictable lens, just as he was as a man.” Very much like Jared Leto, right? Hahaha!
