The campaign, made with Ogilvy Brasil, is a call for Brazilian fans to replace their used televisions with a new one.
Magalu started its World Cup campaign. Initially, the communication will be about the “Troca Tudo no Magalu” promotion, with a focus on selling TVs.
The announcement, made with Ogilvy Brasil, is a call for Brazilian fans to replace their used televisions with a new one. All communications will refer to the traditional gesture of substitution in football, moving the index fingers in circles, widely used by referees and players on the field.
“The exchange gesture is the central point of our campaign. We want to create an association of brand management and thus attract even more people’s attention to Magalu and make the gimmick something proprietary and unique to our campaign”, highlights Pedro Gouveia, director of associated creation of Ogilvy Brasil.
The campaign debuted on television last Friday (7th), during breaks in the latest episode of Pantanal, on TV Globo.
We have high expectations for the World Cup. Historically, we sold many televisions at that time and we want to remain the leading retailer in sales during the World Cup, said Eduardo Galanternick, vice president of business at Magalu.
The advertisements are part of the sponsorship package for broadcasts of the tournament made exclusively by the Globo TV and Sportv system, in addition to content broadcast on ge and Globoplay, acquired by Magalu.
