Gerard Butler is an old flame. And as much as he makes average films, and his face is very different from what it was in PS I Love You, for example, he continues to count on my audience. Old passion is just like that, lol. This Thursday another action movie with the actor opens in theaters. IT IS Relentless Hunt. It can be said that it is a relentless pursuit of the poor, Mr.
In the film, Butler is Will Spann. He’s taking his wife Lisa to her parents’ house. The two are having problems in their marriage and decide to take a break. But when he stops at a gas station to fill up, Lisa mysteriously disappears. Desperate, Will turns to the police, who not only don’t help him but are suspicious of him. Determined to find Lisa at any cost, Will delves into the city’s underworld. At the same time, he eludes the authorities in this harrowing race against time.
What did I find?
The film is divided into two parts. The first is excellent. The director manages to effectively show Will’s nervousness and also his search for the truth of what happened to Lisa. And then there’s the suspense of the moment he realizes that everyone is suspicious of him. From there he decides to take the investigation alone. But from there, the narrative is lost. All the time Will spends at camp is slow, overkill, and it doesn’t work. Feather!
Butler is still great as ever. He’s no longer the great beauty he once was, but he doesn’t lose his charm. And he’s a better actor than many consider. And on top of that he has great empathy with the audience. The cast still has the efficient presence of Russell Hornsby (A Boundary Between Us) as the policeman, and Jaimie Alexander as Lisa. In the end, it’s a movie like many others you see on streaming, but the cast makes the difference.
