She-Hulk: Defender of Heroes it was equally hated and adored throughout its episode premieres every week. Many liked the comedy formula, with the fall of the fourth wall. Others hated this format, especially comic book fans. I confess I’m in the middle. I think the series had great moments, but it took a good turn for the most part during its nine episodes. Today (13) premiered the last episode of the first season. That is, for those who like to see complete seasons, everything is now there on Disney Plus.
The series follows the story of Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany). She is a successful lawyer who lives an ordinary and peaceful life until she has a serious accident. During the unforeseen, she ends up accidentally receiving the blood of her cousin, scientist and superhero Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffulo), the Hulk. From there, her life changes completely, as she transforms into the female version of the green creature. Now, the lawyer must learn to control her new and intense powers. And yet, even against her will, she became a hero with a lot of visibility. In addition to her new skills, Jennifer also receives an unexpected promotion at work. She is tasked with running the superhuman law division. Even her office uses her newfound fame as She-Hulk to gain status. As she adapts to her new condition, she will be forced to face villains like Abomination (Tim Roth) and Titania (Jameela Jamil).
Historic
Mulher-Hulk had a bumpy ride from the start. First, they announced that Tatiana Maslany would be She-Hulk. But she denied it, for some time later to confirm – probably to have a better negotiation in her contract. When the first trailer came out, the special effects were pretty bad. Everyone spoke ill, accusations against Marvel came. But the next trailer came out a little better. When the series started, it already came with an extremely sympathetic cameo from Mark Ruffalo. But he wasn’t the only one. The series also had the return of Tim Roth as Abomination, Benedict Wong as Wong (he is in all) and the expected arrival of Charlie Cox as Daredevil. Everyone participated in the best moments of the series. And not only them, I loved Ginger Gonzaga as Nikki, Jennifer’s best friend. She is very fun.
The season finale and more…
The last episode was extremely humorous. From the beginning, he remembered the call of the Hulk on TV in the 70’s. I loved it! In addition to breaking down the fourth wall, She-Hulk came out tearing everything down (lol), interacting with the series’ writers and even KEVIN, a mega fun reference to Marvel boss Kevin Feige. It had the return of familiar characters and a new one as well. It was a perfect episode, too bad the whole series wasn’t like that.
It is not yet known if the series will have a second season (it is likely that it will). Whether it will be used in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (apparently not – at least for now). What is already known is that she will have to participate in Daredevil: Born Again, Daredevil’s new series. At least the rumors are strong. And the ending implies that this must happen. In the end, the first season of Mulher-Hulk it was a great experience. but if there is a second season, there is a lot to improve…
