The London International Awards (LIA), a global festival that honors creativity and new ideas in advertising and other disciplines, announces this Tuesday the winners of the 2022 edition. September and October 7, to analyze, debate and define the best works in the world in 27 categories.
Brazil appears once again among the outstanding countries of the award. Of the 35 shortlists, the Brazilian works turned into 22 trophies, being two Gold, three Silver and 17 Bronze. The main highlight in the country was David São Paulo, with 11 of them – 1 Gold, 1 Silver and 9 Bronze, all with work for Burger King. In the sequence, appear WMcCann, with 1 Gold and 1 Bronze; Havas Health & You, with 1 Silver and 1 Bronze; McCann Health, with 2 Bronzes; Mirum, with 1 Silver; and FCB Health, Grey, Oliver and DM9 (TracyLocke), with 1 Bronze each.
Barbara Levy, president of LIA, emphasizes:
“Once again, Brazilian agencies showed enormous talent in all media. They have winners in both highly regulated disciplines such as Pharma & Medical; as well as the more comprehensive ones, such as Integration and Evolution – which shows that the Brazilian advertising community continues to grow stronger.”
In total, the LIA 2022 jury distributed 754 trophies to 45 different countries. With the 22 conquered, Brazil ranked 10th among the most awarded, in a list easily led by the United States, with 254. Then come Germany (81), United Kingdom (53), India (37), Canada ( 31), France (30), Spain (29), Australia (28) and Thailand (25).
Among the 27 disciplines, 21 Grand LIAs were defined – the festival’s top prizes. The highlight was the case “Piñatex”, by L&C New York for Dole Sunshine Company and Ananas Anam, which took three of them: in Design, Evolution and Transformative Business Impact. “Data Tienda” by DDB Mexico for Gahr We Capital (Digital and Creative Use of Data) and “Better with Pepsi” by Alma DDB Miami for Pepsi (Billboard and Print) each won two GL. Special awards such as Agency of the Year will be revealed on November 8.
