During the event, guests were able to collaborate with the measurement and neutralization of CO2 emissions generated by the event
Innovate Brasil, the annual event of MMA Latam, an association that brings together brands, agencies, martechs and adtechs, took place this Tuesday (18th), in So Paulo. In this year’s edition, more than a thousand participants witnessed discussions by leaders and personalities covering topics such as ESG, diversity, inclusion and mental health.
During the event, guests were able to collaborate with the measurement and neutralization of CO2 emissions generated by the event, with technology from 300 Inteligencia, Aguama Ambiental and Ecolgica Tech, by scanning a QR Code.
In the wake of sustainability, the prize drawn on the day was an electric bike from the Brazilian company Cicloway. On stage, electric vehicles were the talk among executives Viviane Mansi, director of communication and sustainability at Toyota, Christianne Rego, CMO at GM, and Vivianne Gonalves, marketing manager Latam at Volvo.
“The challenge is to zero carbon, deliver value and do all this while paying the bills. Educating consumers about electric vehicles is fundamental,” stated Viviane Mansi.
On the “Conectades” stage, diversity and inclusion were the main theme and had the presence of Ana Paula Padro and Adriana Ferreira Silva, to talk about ageism as a relevant point for brands to think about.
“I don’t feel represented. People say I’m very well for my age, and I wonder if I should be bad. This is the logic of thinking about someone over 50 years old”, said Ana Paula about products and services in the cosmetics and leisure.
The theme “fashion” was also discussed by the guests, who revealed the lack of representation and responsibility in the entire production chain of the pieces.
“My greatest political power (over fashion) is not buying. I partner with big brands to collaborate with their processes and show that it is about getting together on niche issues. Fashion today is no longer looking for super top models. We want to dream about who we are from It’s true and one day we will see macaws in stores with clothes. And not men’s or women’s clothes. Just clothes”, said Isa Isaac Silva, a Brazilian stylist who recently announced her gender transition.
Guests Ana Fontes, CEO of Rede Mulher Empreendedora and Amanda Oliveira, CEO and founder of Valqurias World, were also present at the event and spoke about the importance of empowering women.
J Daniella Brissac, VP of Marketing Brazil and CCX of Capabilities Latin America at Johnson & Johnson, proposed a reflection on purposes and mental health among company employees. The executive stated that at the company, topics are discussed openly, as fundamental pillars for selling health. “It’s never been so important to talk about it. Professionals need a sense of purpose, to feel that they are part of something bigger,” added Daniella.
