TIM closed a partnership with the management of Maracan, where it installed 17 5G antennas, making the stadium the first with this connectivity in Brazil.
The infrastructure is sufficient to serve an audience well beyond the stadium’s capacity. The debut of the new technology took place this Wednesday (19), in the final of the Copa do Brasil, between Flamengo and Corinthians.
To celebrate the partnership, the operator launched a campaign created by Betc Havas.
The partnership with Maracan also provides for the exhibition of the brand in strategic locations, such as the reserve bench, screen and LED panels.
For the action, the operator selected a team of Flamengo influencers who usually frequent the stands to experience the connection, such as Arthur Picoli, Pitoco, Irwen Pereira and Duda Lima.
“Our objective is to enhance the fans’ experience in a scenario of intense connectivity, also facilitating the work of those who work in the space, such as the press, for example. 5G opens up a world of possibilities and TIM is ready to bring people closer to this new reality”, said Alberto Griselli, CEO of TIM.
