The action aims to raise awareness and mobilize people so that they make donations to the cause that fights for people with physical disabilities
In 2022, the AACD Telethon campaign turns 25 and, for the first time, will count on donations made through the iFood app.
The partnership aims to raise awareness and mobilize people so that they make donations to the cause that fights for people with physical disabilities.
Being present in a campaign like this represents the recognition of the platform as a powerful environment for donations. Through it, we connect our users, who are the biggest asset we have, with the third sector. We make this connection, this bridge for the benefit of society, said Andr Borges, head of Sustainability at iFood.
Donations for Telethon 2022 have already started and, to donate, the person just needs to access the donations field within the profile in the app and select the AACD or choose this option when finalizing an order on the platform. Currently, iFood maintains a donation partnership with eight NGOs: Ao da Cidadania, Gastromotiva, Orgnico Solidário, SOS Mata Atlntica, Gerando Falces, Central nica das Favelas (CUFA) and Todos pela Educacao and, now, the AACD.
Today we see a strong movement towards ESG and it is important that socially committed companies take transformative and high-impact actions. By connecting its users to donate to the AACD simply and quickly through the app, iFood and its customers are effectively transforming the lives of our patients through clinical care, orthotics, prostheses, wheelchairs and orthopedic surgeries, Edson added. Brito, Superintendent of Marketing and Institutional Relations at AACD.
This year’s Telethon will feature 17 hours of programming on November 4th and 5th, on the open-air channel SBT. This year’s theme is “Your Donation Spreads Good” and over the two days, presenters, singers, influencers and other artists will take the stage dedicated to sharing patient stories and raising donations to support AACD’s activities.
