THE TikTok, a video creation platform, went viral on the internet at the beginning of 2020, with the arrival of the pandemic. With the application, several talents were discovered and many songs hit the famous “trends”.
As trends they are nothing more than the trends that happen within the app, in other words, what people are doing with dances or challenges.
To close the year, we have separated a list of the best trends of 2021:
1 – Heartbreak Anniversary

The trend with the “VHS” film effect was also on the rise in the world. The idea of the video is to show people who are similar, but with different ages, as if it were a retrospective of when adults were children. In Brazil, the song used for the transition was “Plutão” by VMZ.
The music of the funk names Mc Davi, Mc Pedrinho and Mc Don Juan hit TikTok with over 2 billion views. The little dance, which went viral, was made by content creator Thomas Inoki.
4 – Gin Type
The success of funk artist Kevin O Chris brought a trend to TikTok, in which people get discouraged with something and, when the beat of the song gets stronger, they dance with more excitement. The content also comes with some situation where the creators leave a caption while making the moves.
5 – TikTok Noodles
The application is not only made of dances and transitions. The trend “Macarrão do TikTok” was a very popular one in 2021, in which users shared a recipe consisting of baked macaroni with cheese, basil and cherry tomatoes.
6 – Beggin’
The song by the Italian group Måneskin gained worldwide popularity. Used in diverse trends, from transitions to videos of people just singing, Beggin has had more than 4 billion views on the platform. See an example:

The music, a partnership between DJ Alok, DJ GBR and Mc Don Juan, also entered the trends in Brazil. The choreography was done by content creator Joana.
8- Buss it
The “Buss It” challenge gained popularity, mainly, among women. The challenge is a transition in which the person appears disheveled and, at a certain point in the song, the tidy transformation takes place.

UP, music by rapper Cardi B, was also featured among the trends. With worldwide popularity, artists like Anitta have also replicated the dance’s challenge.
