Band broadcasts the 2022/2023 regular season of NBA (National Basketball Association) starting next week. The station will show 40 games on Mondays and eventually on Sundays. The channel will also bring the playoffs, the Eastern Conference decision and the finals exclusively on open TV.
The first game shown by the channel will air next Monday (24), at 11 pm, between the Denver Nuggets and Portland Trail Blazers. The second duel is scheduled for October 31, at 11:30 pm, between Houston Rockets and LA Clippers. The clashes will be narrated by Ivan Brunocomments from Danilo Castro e Alvaro Joseand reports from Eduardo Barãowhich will bring all the details straight from the United States.
The new NBA season continues until June next year with the finals. The competition system maintains the regular season structure, play-in, playoffs and the grand final.
Band pioneered NBA broadcasts in Brazil. In 1987, the channel brought the first games, still in reruns, of the Finals of the 1985-1986 season. In 1988-1989, it started to show a greater amount of games, until in 1989-1990 it showed games weekly throughout the entire season.
