The activations aim to reinforce the offer of South American competitions on Disney’s sports platforms in 2023
The Libertadores final will take place this Saturday (29) and the cup will either go to Paraná or Rio de Janeiro. The dispute between Flamengo and Athletico-PR will be shown through ESPN on pay TV and on streaming, by Star+.
Towards the end of the championship, the channels are promoting actions involving the two teams, aiming to reinforce the offer of South American competitions on Disney’s sports platforms in 2023: Libertadores, Sudamericana and Recopa.
The actions with Flamengo involved the application of the Star+ brand on the roof of the bus that took the team to the airport. Named AeroFla, the team’s departure to Ecuador was covered by ESPN on TV and YouTube via a special SportsCenter. In addition, the Star+ brand will be featured in FlaTV content until the match date, and in a possible victory, in addition to posts on the club’s social networks.
With Athletico-PR, ESPN and Star+ worked on activations at Arena da Baixada, during matches on 10/16 and 10/25 of the Brazilian Championship. Until the date of the game, Disney brands will also continue to appear on the club’s social networks and on Furaco Live, the team’s streaming service.
Acting on multiple fronts, Disney also turned to the Digital universe, where it can count on media on the 365 Scores app and on the Twitch, Tik Tok and Twitter platforms.
To reinforce the team of influencers and strengthen the identification of ESPN and Star+ with the teams, the campaign will also work with content creators Flazoeiro, for Flamengo, Tretis and ex-player Alex Mineiro, for Athletico-PR.
In addition, the continental final is also being worked on in synergy with Disney’s brands in Brazil, being highlighted on Rdio Disney, with the Boletim Libertadoras, and on the linear channels of ESPN and Disney on pay TV.
