The Interbrand list was presented during the Web Summit 2022 and, in total, amounts to US$ 3 billion.
Interbrand launched the ranking of the most valuable brands in the World, called Best Global Brands, during the Web Summit 2022. In total, the overall value of the ranking reached US$ 3 billion, registering a 16% increase compared to 2021 , when it registered US$ 2.6 billion.
Tech brands continue to dominate the rankings, making up the top five brands in the table. According to the list, Apple holds the top spot for the 10th year in a row, followed by Microsoft which took the place of Amazon, which is now in third place.
Speaking of numbers, Apple recorded the value of US$482.2 billion, Microsoft with US$278.2 billion and Amazon with US$482.2 billion. Google remained in fourth place with $251.7 billion.
The other Top 10 positions, which represent 53% of the total value of the table, were occupied by Samsung with US$ 87.6 billion, Toyota with US$ 59.7 billion, Coca-Cola with US$ 57.5 billion, Mercedes -Benz with $56.1 billion, Disney with $50.3 billion and Nike with $50.2 billion.
Among the 100 brands, Microsoft, Tesla and Chanel were the ones with the highest percentage growth year-over-year, all increasing their brand equity by 32%.
Additionally, Airbnb, Red Bull and Xiaomi are new entrants for 2022, with Uber, Zoom and John Deere dropping out of the top 100.
According to Interbrand, the 16% increase in the overall value of ranked companies demonstrates the growing contribution that a company’s brand makes to driving its economic success.
