The Acolyte will have the participation of Amandla Sternberg, great in The Hate You Sow, and Jodie Turner-Smith. And still Lee Jung-jae, super awarded for Round 6Manny Jacinto (nine unknowns), e Charlie Barnett (Russian Doll). The last two confirmed names are Carrie Ann Moss, seen recently in The Matrix Ressurrectionsa Dafne Keen, the Logan.
The story will take place 100 years before Star Wars – The Phantom Menace. It is the time when the Jedi are at the height of their power. It will be a kind of thriller and mystery story. It will show a time of dark secrets and powers of the dark side of the force beginning to emerge in the final days of the High Republic. An ancient Padawan reunites with her Jedi Master to investigate a series of crimes. But the forces they will have to confront will be even more sinister than they could have imagined. Production work started today (07) in England. Lesley Headland, also from Russian Doll will serve as showrunner and co-producer.

It is not yet known when The Acolyte will debut on Disney Plus. But there are some other Star Wars content that are already scheduled. This is the case of the second season of the animation Star Wars: The Bad Batch, which arrives in January. In 2023, the third season of The Mandalorian and also the new series Ahsoka, with Rosario Dawson. Both series will take place at the same time. Another that will take place in the same period is Skeleton Crew, and will have Jude Law in the lead role. There are still other productions that are in development.
