The new campaign goes live on November 7, during the interval between the official call-up of the National Team.
And if you have a call-up for the Brazilian National Team, you also have a call-up for Torcida BR. In this film, created by Soko, Guaraná Antarctica shows a different version of Canarinho, living his life peacefully, with a routine zen in his house until, in the announcement of the call-up, he brings out the best-known side of the character: the Canarinho fan.

“There is very little left to start the biggest sporting competition in the world and we are very happy to be, once again, at the side of the Brazilians, showing all our unique way of cheering for our national team. And of course the one who best represents our fan is Canarinho. We want to show that, for Guaraná Antarctica, it is much more than football, it is about the people, about the Brazilian fans.”
Soko’s Creative leader, Rafael Alves, also comments on the creation of the film:
“The idea came from a question: what does the coolest mascot in Brazil do while the cup doesn’t arrive? The contrast between his pistol mode and the quiet way he takes his life the rest of the time was the source of our humor. After all, who expected to see Canarinho knitting and washing dishes?”.
The campaign, which is part of a series of actions by Guaraná Antarctica, brings yet another iconic character to Brazilian fans, reporter Márcio Canuto. The journalist will show on his Instagram account his quiet side of everyday life and then activate the “fan mode”, to celebrate and cheer for Brazil. And to complete Canarinho’s presence in this call-up, the brand has just launched a filter for TikTok with his own character, in the rhythm of the Brazilian fans. Available for iOS and Android, searching for the filter ‘Torcida Naná e Canarinho’.
With the aim of positioning itself even more in the football territory, the brand recently launched commemorative and collectible cans with Canarinho in five different positions of celebration after the shout of goal and the promotion Torcida Patrocinada is also on the air, which will boost the party of Brazilians with more than R$1 million in prizes.
