Terra Nós, a vertical dedicated to promoting inclusion and diversity, enters the month of November with a personalized program in the racial pillar. As a reflection of the role that the editorial will give in the Month of Black Consciousness, the vehicle prepared webseries, special reports, interviews and live broadcasts of events that inspire reflection, recognize black culture and fight racism.
The program runs until December, and expands the daily visibility already worked on by Terra’s newsroom and editorial partners. The multiplatform coverage will also have a strong presence in the profiles of Terra Brasil and Terra NÓS, both in the production of own content and in the transmission of panels and workshops with partners.
The anti-racist struggle will be one of the main agendas of the period. In the video webseries “Racism: structural impunity”, co-produced by Terra in partnership with Albuquerque Content, the vehicle brings the struggle of real characters in search of dignity and reparation after racial injuries.
According to a survey by the Annual Report on Racial Inequality in Brazil, the number of cases judged in favor of the victim does not reach one third. For specialists, among the main reasons are the lack of representation in the judiciary, structural racism, the difficulty in producing evidence and the need to improve the laws. The series premieres on 9/11.
Rounding out the special coverage for Black Consciousness Month, Terra brings inspiring stories of black people who have transformed society. Opinion texts with a place for speech, one of Terra’s trademarks, also gain visibility. Columnists Luã Andrade, Joice Berth and Nathalia Santos, who share their views throughout the year, reinforce the reflections and conversations.
Terra’s strategy also includes agreements as a media partner for some of the main events on race and diversity in Brazil. The partnerships amplify the protagonism of the discussions and conversations of projects such as the Fórum Brasil Diverso, which will be broadcast live from the vehicle, on the 8th of November.
With a focus on entrepreneurship, innovation and black culture, the Feira Preta Festival in São Paulo will also have a partnership with Terra. From November 5th to December 4th, the vehicle will amplify the event’s panels and discussions. Terra is also present at the Taça das Favelas, the largest soccer tournament in communities in the country, and at Expo Consciência Negra, from November 18 to 20, at Expo Center Norte, in São Paulo.
