The new aircraft, called “Margarida nas Nuvens”, was unveiled during an Airbus ceremony at its facilities in Toulouse, France.
Azul Linhas Aéreas presented its fourth aircraft from the so-called “The Most Magical Fleet in the World”, inspired by the Disney character, Margarida.
The new aircraft, named “Margarida nas Nuvens”, was unveiled during an Airbus ceremony at its facilities in Toulouse, France. The event was attended by executives from Azul Linhas Aéreas and from the Walt Disney World Resort.
“We are pleased to announce that ‘The Most Magical Fleet in the World’ is now fully operational for Azul and that, very soon, the four planes will be seen landing and taking off at dozens of Brazilian airports, bringing the Azul experience and magic of the Walt Disney World Resort from North to South of the country”, said Daniel Bicudo, Director of Marketing and Products at Azul.
At the Airbus factory, the company’s new A320neo underwent a painting and customization process. Before starting operations on Azul’s domestic flights, the aircraft will go through the installation process of Wi-Fi and live TV, in the airline’s hangar, in Campinas.
The A320 will join the other three planes in the fleet. In November last year, the first commercial flight of “Mickey Mouse in the Clouds” started the project, followed by “Minnie Mouse in the Clouds” and “Donald Duck in the Clouds”, launched in February and June 2022, respectively.
“This moment marks a very special end to our project. Since last year, Azul has successfully launched four planes, so the feeling that our mission together has been accomplished. Our shared goal is to spread the Disney magic throughout the country” , added Cinthia Douglas, Marketing and Sales Director for Latin America at Disney Destinations.
