After a new partnership, Itaú Unibanco customers will be able to buy premium Samsung smartphones. The “Sempre de Samsung” program is available at the “Samsung no Itaú” store within the Itaú and Itaú Personnalité apps, and offers the brand’s most modern devices with the lowest market installments and benefits such as installments extended by 21 times plus a final payment – and the option to exchange the device after that period without paying the last installment – as well as screen protection insurance during the months of joining the program.
The novelty is part of an initiative of the agenda beyond banking from Itaú – a business ecosystem that brings a new value proposition to the bank’s customers, who have access to much more than traditional financial products and services.
Carlos Formigari, director of Itaú Unibanco, says:
“With the Semper de Samsung program, we take another step in this successful partnership between the two brands. We already have a Samsung store at Itaú, and now we are evolving with the recurrence strategy – a model that has already been tested in other businesses at the bank, with very expressive positive results. All of this with a high value offer for customers, who will be able to have a smartphone paying around 60% of the price.”
Bruno Costa, director of services and innovations at Samsung Brazil, also commented on the partnership:
“At Samsung, our premise is to meet people’s needs and desires. The premium segment continues to grow and smartphones have consolidated themselves as one of the great digital access hubs for people. This partnership with Itaú Unibanco is another important step for us, as it allows our customers to make the most of the technologies we apply to our products and services. Based on this, the Semper de Samsung program makes it possible for the Brazilian consumer to have access to the latest in the technology market in an accessible way.”
The program is available at the Samsung store in Itaú, which since 2021 allows the purchase of branded products with special payment terms directly on Itaú apps. “Android is the most used operating system in the country, reaching over 80% of the population that owns a smartphone. This launch greatly expands our possibilities for customer loyalty, with easier access to high value-added products”, adds Formigari.
To join the program, Itaú customers must access the updated version of the bank’s apps, go to the “Products > Exclusive products” tab, choose the route “Samsung no Itaú”, and then “Sempre de Samsung”, where it will be possible to select your preferred model. Initially, foldable smartphones, Galaxy Z Flip4 5G, and Z Fold4 5G, and smartphones from the Galaxy S22 5G line will be available.
After choosing the product, the customer receives his new smartphone at the registered address, with free shipping. Payment must be made with a credit card linked to the account – about 60% of the value of the Galaxy Z Flip4 5G models, and the Z Fold4 5G, and the Galaxy S22 line are charged in 21 installments without interest.
