The #OWNYOURCOLORS partnership between the UPLAND metaverse and FIFA for the sale of digital collectibles from the 2022 Qatar Cup will be presented at the seventh edition of CCXP, from December 1st to 4th, at SP Expo, in the city of São Paulo.
In less than 20 days and without even finishing the group stage of the Cup, the largest metaverse mapped to the real world has already sold more than 84 thousand NFTs (non-fungible tokens) related to the selections, stadiums and great moments of the competition. New batches of collectibles will be released on December 2nd and 7th.
At CCXP, UPLAND will carry out activations in partnership with the PerifaCom community and the Engage.gg agency to show the importance of nerd culture within the peripheries. Visitors to the fair will be able to participate in a competition in augmented reality, attend lectures on entrepreneurship and truly immerse themselves in what the metaverse is and how to be part of this new dimension of entertainment and business.
Football fans who visit the UPLAND space at the event will be able to participate in a virtual exchange of World Cup stickers, learn how to enter this blockchain metaverse and leave with their first virtual terrain.
“Our partnership points to a path of opportunity at upcoming FIFA events and that’s why we want to guide football fans on how web3 works and how their actions provide fun and benefits”, explains Dirk Lueth, one of the founders of UPLAND.
Ney Neto, general director of Upland in Brazil, says:
“Upland is happy to participate in CCXP and launch this album of digital collectibles in partnership with FIFA. And also build relationships with comic book publishers, as one of the launches on our roadmap is to enable our uplanders to read their favorite comics in NFT format.”
