Billionaire and new Twitter boss Elon Musk could leave after less than two months on the job if the results of a Twitter poll go against him. Or at least that’s what he said last Sunday night, December 18th, on the network itself.
Elon Musk tweeted a poll Sunday night asking people to vote on whether he should step down as CEO of Twitter. Musk said he would respect the voting results. Check out the poll published by the tycoon below:
As of Monday morning, “Sim” was winning by a margin of 58% to 42%. In several follow-up tweets, Musk suggested he was serious about leaving and made a vague threat about Twitter’s future if he was taken down.
“As the saying goes, be careful what you wish for, you might get it,” Musk tweeted. Since he bought Twitter for $44 billion and took over as CEO at the end of October, Musk has been involved in several confusions that have generated debates and irritation on the part of users of the social network.
