The partnership will donate proceeds from the sale of NFTs on the platform to the organization’s projects that will train thousands of young people
Upland and Unicef Brasil announced a long-term partnership to develop a new social project that includes a Web 3.0 academy aimed at young Brazilians. The initiative aims to ensure that Brazilians aged between 18 and 24 are educated on the web3, creating a link between high school and training.
As part of this launch, the metaverse platform will sell UNICEF-inspired digital Christmas items to players from December 22nd, and part of the profit from the operation will be reverted as a direct donation to UNICEF and another part will be destined to the organization’s educational program.
Over the past four years, we’ve seen thousands of stories of our users achieving financial success because of their web3 expertise. In partnership with UNICEF Brazil, we are excited to create an opportunity for young people to learn how to create the same opportunities for themselves, as well as an educational program, in the real world, to support them firsthand, explained Idan Zuckerman, co-founder and co-founder. -CEO of UPLAND.
In the city of Rio de Janeiro in the metaverse, already launched on Uplnad, there will be two factories with the Unicef brand to produce Christmas decoration items, such as the popular Christmas gnomes and the products can be purchased by uplanders in the Unicef virtual showroom located in the capital fluminense of the metaverse.
The content of the educational program is defined by Unicef’s 1 Mio (1 Million Opportunities) initiative and developed by Upland. Students will be trained in five different skills such as core skills, job-specific skills, digital skills, entrepreneurial skills and transferable skills.
