New year, new life, and loads of new content coming. Apple TV Plus has announced its January highlights. And I thought there’s a lot of good stuff. Check it out…
end of season
On the 6th, two arrive. It has the premiere of the last episode of the third season of Mythic Quest. For those unfamiliar, the comedy series follows the challenging daily lives of a group of video game developers. On the same day, the end of the second season of the series is available The Mosquito Coast, based on the bestselling novel by Paul Theroux. It stars his nephew Justin Theroux, as well as Melissa George, Logan Polish and Gabriel Bateman. Already on the 13th, there is the premiere of the final episode of the action and suspense series Echo 3. The cast includes Luke Evans, Michiel Huisman and Jessica Ann Collins. Created by Academy Award winner Mark Boa.
New series and seasons
Two new series arrive this month on Apple TV Plus. The first is the documentary Superliga: The War for Football, in four programs, which air on the 13th. The series records the battle triggered by the creation of a controversial independent football league in Europe. It has testimonials from the president of FIFA and major European clubs. But the most anticipated debut is Speaking to Real (Shrinking). It’s a new comedy starring Jason Segel and Harrison Ford. It was created by Segel and the producers of Ted Lasso. speaking to real follows Jimmy (Segel), a grieving therapist. He starts breaking the rules and telling customers exactly what he thinks. Ignoring his training and ethics, he ends up making big, tumultuous changes in people’s lives… including his own.
And there are also new seasons of series that I really like. On the 13th, the premiere of the last season of Servant. The executive production is by M. Night Shyamalan, which already guarantees a whole atmosphere of suspense to the story. And now, as the beautiful Turner family home continues to crumble, questions are finally being answered. That is, who is Leanne Grayson and who is the child in their house?
On the 20th, the third season of Truth be Told. The first one is sensational, and the second one is good. Octavia Spencer reprises her role as Poppy Scoville, an investigative reporter turned true crime podcaster. This season, Poppy is frustrated by the lack of media attention to the disappearance of several young black women. That’s when she decides to team up with an unorthodox director (Gabrielle Union) to keep the victims’ names in the public eye. All while chasing a sex trafficking suspect who may have kidnapped them.
