Volkswagen revived one of its most famous campaigns, made in 2010, to bring a character to the era of electric cars: the little lady who sold the Golf, the automaker’s model car.
The Buying a Volkswagen from an Old Lady campaign is one of the automaker’s most popular campaigns to date, and the original ad featured a shy lady selling her car, which is tested by potential buyers inspecting the car. Viewers see flashbacks of the old lady driving her Golf like a race car. At the time, the slogan of the campaign was Not every old lady is confident happily every Golf .
Now, Volkswagen brings the lady back to the ‘Bring Back the Energy’ campaign, which shows the character’s desire to have a car from the automaker again and, to replace the hole left in her chest by the sale of the Golf, she goes to a dealership to test the electric car, ID.4 GTX.
