When the Arrow series came to an end, we also thought it would be the end of Stephen Amell’s reign as Oliver Queen. #sóquenão. The actor will return to character in the last season of The Flash, which will begin airing in the United States on the CW channel on February 8th. Here in Brazil, Warner Channel has not yet announced when it will start showing the new season. This will have a total of 13 episodes.
Stephen will appear as Oliver in episode 9. Also joining the cast will be the previously announced David Ramsey (John Diggle/Spartan), Keiynan Lonsdale (Wally West/Kid Flash) and Sendhil Ramamurthy (Ramsey Rosso/Bloodwork). It’s good to remember that Grant Gustin’s Barry Allen was introduced into the Arrowverse with a cameo in Arrow, next to Stephen. After that, he started starring in his own series. So it’s pretty cool this beginning, middle and end with Oliver and Barry together.
And what to expect?
Executive producer Eric Wallace spoke about this reunion. “As soon as it was announced that this would be our final season, we knew we wanted Stephen back to reprise his iconic role of Oliver Queen. After all, it was Oliver who launched Barry on his heroic path. Because of that, the entire world of Team Flash felt it was important to create a full-circle moment with Oliver’s return in the final season. The result is an epic and emotional episode that we hope all Arrowverse fans will enjoy. It’s also to say “thank you” to everyone who has watched and supported our show for nine wonderful years. We can’t wait for everyone to see Grant and Stephen save the world together again. And yes, there will be thrills, chills and tears.”
What I want to know is how will this meeting go? After all, Oliver died at the end of Arrow. Will Barry go back in time? Will he be in another universe? Now is wait to see…
