Through the integration with Scope3, the platform will offer Green Media products to advertisers
Yahoo announced an integration with Scope3 to offer a carbon neutral Private Market Average (PMP) inventory for advertisers through the Yahoo SSP.
With the document, customers can find and purchase Green Media products developed by Scope3 to ensure that digital ads and campaigns are aligned with the organization’s broader sustainability goals.
It is important for the industry to move and consider sustainability in purchasing decisions. As the entire industry is on a journey to become more sustainable, we are excited to bring access to green media, powered by Scope3 data and through our SSP (Supply Side Platform). This adds another layer of choice and flexibility for our customers, said Elizabeth Herbst-Brady, Yahoo’s Chief Revenue Officer.
Yahoo SSP is part of the brand’s ecosystem of ad technology platforms and allows publishers to maximize the monetization of their inventory on any screen. The new PMPs with Scope3 data, also known as Green Media Products, are available globally through any demand platform connected to the Yahoo SSP, including the company’s own DSP.
Combined with the company’s enthusiasm for driving the growing adoption of sustainable advertising practices, this integration makes for an incredible milestone in changing the industry. By offering access to Scope3’s Green Media products directly on the platform, Yahoo is offering brands a simple, standardized way to shift their buying behavior in favor of more sustainable media, helping to ensure that responsible publishers continue to thrive, he added.
