Film, which is 35 minutes long, was directed by Ntaly Neri and Murilo Arajo
With the aim of going beyond racism, black creators want to tell their stories, their passions and, above all, their dreams. It was with this in mind that YouTube launched the documentary YouTube Black 2022: the Brazils we are, on the YouTube Brazil channel.
For this year’s edition, the platform invited up-and-coming creators from the five regions of Brazil to show us their Brazilian qualities and what, in their respective regions, most inspire them: @Chavoso from USP, from SP, @Eliziane Berberian, from Rondnia, @Hawk, from Bahia, @negatta, from the Federal District, and @Al Garcia, from Rio Grande do Sul, talk about their origins, the cultures from the regions where they were born and raised, and also about the relationship and connection between the communities.
In addition, they bring reflections on their positions as content creators on the internet and the places they want to reach with their respective work. A rich and plural content made by creators, with creators and for everyone. The documentary was produced and directed by Ntaly Neri and Murilo Arajo.
YouTube Black is part of the Play de Verdade package, the Diversity package that this year has Master Tim and Ita as shareholders. In addition to the documentary, we also have actions in Shorts and advertisements in the creators’ networks.
Produced by Dia Estdio, in partnership with Google and YouTube Brasil, the documentary highlights the importance of discussing diversity, since in Brazil, black people represent 56% of the population and are not equal to each other.
The 35-minute content proves, through a conversation circle and personal testimonials, that blackness is diverse and capable of producing anything, in different areas of life.
