Action, which is carried out in partnership with Antra and TODXS, is expected to involve around 700 trans and transvestite people around the country
Starting on the National Trans Visibility Day, the brand and partners continue the #RespectMyIdentity movement to promote popular action for the benefit of trans and transvestites
PepsiCo’s snack brand, Doritos, launched its first action of the year for Trans Visibility Day, inspired by the #RespectMyIdentity manifesto movement.
As of date, celebrated on January 29, the brand, in partnership with Antra (National Association of Transvestites and Transsexuals) and TODXS, will carry out and finance a project throughout the year aimed at rectifying the name and/or gender of around 700 people trans and transvestites around the country.
To make the whole process possible, in 2022, Doritos stated that donated R$ 1 million to partner institutions. Aimed mainly at low-income or socially vulnerable trans people and transvestites, the action will be carried out with the support of over 15 organizations across the country.
With decentralized registrations in 15 states, each institution will have access to the data of the interested people and will be able to apply cuts in the selection criteria according to the level of vulnerability that the public they host is found. To register, just follow the brand’s social networks, Antra, TODXS and other partners.
Registration will open soon.
