“Over the next three years, the public will be able to follow the IndyCar races through the Culture screen, which has made a strong investment in sports programming”
TV Cultura will broadcast the 2022, 2023 and 2024 Formula Indy seasons. The narration will be by Geferson Kern and comments by Rodrigo Mattar. The championship debut takes place on February 27 in St. Petersburg, Florida.
ESPN channels and Star+, both owned by the Disney Group, have also secured the rights to the competition, and will be responsible for broadcasting Formula Indy races and practices on pay-TV channels and on the streaming platform.
The acquisition is valid for three years, as is the case with TV Cultura.
According to the president of Fundação Padre Anchieta, José Roberto Maluf, with the initiative, Cultura continues to be the official broadcaster of Formula Indy in Brazil, on open TV.
“TV Cultura, once again, gives a significant space to motorsport. In 2021, we broadcast Indy, Formula E and Mercedes-Benz Challenge. Over the next three years, the public will be able to follow Indy races through the Cultura screen , which has made a strong investment in sports programming”, he highlights.
