I’ve talked to a lot of people who want to rewatch old series, but don’t know where to find them. So I started researching and found several of them on Pluto TV. For those who don’t know, it’s a free – and legal – application that you can watch a bunch of movies and series. There I discovered a channel called Retrô, which is a party for nostalgic people.
See what I found there:
The witch – eight seasons
A sorceress marries an ordinary mortal man and vows to lead the life of a typical housewife. But of course, there’s always some situation where he has to use his powers. It was the longest-running supernatural-themed television series during the 1960s and 1970s – and is still remembered today. In 2005 a film version was made with Nicole Kidman, which was a big failure.
Jeannie is a Genius – five seasons
Barbara Eden is a 2,000-year-old genius. Larry Hagman is an astronaut who finds a bottle with it in it, and becomes its master. The two, of course, fall in love and end up getting married.
The Pioneers – nine seasons
The series was a loose adaptation of the books by Laura Ingalls Wilder. In 1870, the Ingalls try to survive in the wilderness, facing dangerous animals, Indians, the weather and all sorts of dangers. The family consists of Charles Ingalls, his wife Caroline and daughters Mary, Carry and Laura.
Fantasy Island – seven seasons
The series tells the story of an island paradise where any wish can be fulfilled. The host of this island is Mr. Roarke, together with his assistant, little Tattoo. With each episode, new people arrive on the island in search of a new desire. Recently there was a movie and a series with the same theme, but they were not successful.
The three Stooges
In fact, The Three Stooges TV series was a collection of shorts that they made for the cinema and ended up conquering a new audience with each exhibition. The shorts were perfect in slapstick comedy and physical farce. There are also feature films and even an animated series. Nowadays it would be the most politically incorrect possible, lol.
