Executive founded Salles Interamericana, which was one of the main advertising agencies in the country
Journalist and publicist, Mauro Salles died this Saturday night (11) at the Albert Einstein hospital, in So Paulo.
Mauro worked for 12 years at Grupo Globo and played a key role in the launch of TV Globo, where he was Director of Journalism and Programming in 1965.
In 1966, he left the Group to found his own advertising agency, Salles Interamericana, one of the largest in the country. In 1980, Mauro led the creation of the Brazilian Advertising Code of Ethics.
Mauro is survived by his wife, Thereza, three children, ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
