With that in mind, Ampla produced a study of insights and trends on how the region waits, celebrates and talks about Carnival.
The research aims to deepen the understanding of the behavior of people and brands, with the intention of situating companies and professionals in the sector about the possibilities that the Northeast brings.
One of the data presented by the survey is gender. According to the survey, women are the most active when it comes to Carnival. In Bahia, the percentage of the female audience accounted for 47% of mentions in the region; in Pernambuco, the percentage was 46%.
As the party approaches, the buzz on social networks about the subject increases and, according to the survey, although Twitter is the network that generates the most conversation, it was noted that the volume of posts on Instagram on the subject more than doubled in first half of January, going from 14,527 publications to 30,404.
Among the subjects most cited by the northeastern public on the date, clothing items, costumes, accessories and footwear are responsible for the highest volume of mentions, adding up to 38% of the subjects.
The report stated that, for Northeasterners, planning the look is an important step in the consumer journey during the period prior to Carnival and themes such as customization ideas, make-up suggestions and tips to save on costumes emerged as the main topics discussed. by the follies.
In shopping intentions to date, e-commerce has been boosted over the days. According to Ampla, the information sheds light on the shopping journey of carnival-goers, who have been looking for cheap and beautiful options on the internet, and among the most cited shopping sites are Shein and Shopee.
Along with this, the study also pointed out which are the means that revelers use to get inspired, highlighting TikTok, Youtube and Pinterest.
Among the most cited terms involving Tik Tok, little dances gain relevance among northeasterners as a way of learning the choreographies of the moment. The report also found that, despite the fame they have achieved over the years, the “TikTok dances” are not to everyone’s liking and there are those who prefer the tradition in the dances of the songs of this time.
Being one of the long-awaited holidays most awaited by Brazilians, another subject that permeates social networks as the date approaches is the place where people will have fun during the festivities and, according to what the survey pointed out, Northeastern revelers are more inclined to go to street blocks and trios.
There are those who prefer to spend their holidays at home. According to the survey, 58% of people said they stayed at home and, among the reasons are “rest” with 39%, “do other leisure activities” such as games, with 17% and watch series and movies with 21%.
Despite this, 14% of the reports state that they will watch the Carnival broadcast on television, mainly to accompany the samba schools in Rio and So Paulo.
