Data show that the average of sexual harassment/ harassment and violence against women increases by more than 80% at this time of the year. To combat harassment, Nova/SB developed ‘Ouviu um no? Respect the decision. For a carnival without harassment’, campaign for the Women’s Secretariat of the state of Rio de Janeiro.
The action alerts people that during Carnival not everything is allowed. The publication in the printed media, radio, internet and DOOH starts this Wednesday (15th) in the main squares of the state.
The pieces also publicize the Rede Mulher app for protection and emergency support and the Military Police 190 telephone number. Along with the awareness-raising content, the campaign explores images of the carnival atmosphere of joy, costumes and marches.
In addition to men, the campaign also intends to mobilize society in general so that it can intervene, preventing harassment or sexual harassment and helping the victim.
The creative line seeks to alert men that attitudes such as pulling at the waist and stealing kisses can even be criminalized, said Thomaz Munster, VP of creation at Nova/SB.
