With the Stand Up actions, the company expects to impact 12 million people
LOral Paris invaded the streets of Salvador during Carnival and will also be present in Rio de Janeiro and So Paulo during the month of March with Stand Up, the company’s project that focuses on combating harassment. With the action, it is expected that 12 million people will be impacted.
In the capital of Bahia, the company will be present in Camarote Expresso 2222 and with external media in the main streets of Salvador, in the subway and at the bus terminal. In So Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, the action will be carried out together with the NGO Cruzando Histrias and should reach the subways next month.
Carnival is a time of celebration, and as a feminine and feminist brand, we need to occupy these spaces to present and reinforce the importance of raising awareness on the subject and offer training, both for the victim and for the witness, to avoid or intervene in a situation of harassment. This action reinforces the empowerment of women and generates a positive impact on society, comments Laura Parkinson, director of the LOral Paris brand in Brazil.
Stand Up is the training program developed by the company together with the NGO Right To Be, which has already impacted more than 1.5 million people worldwide. The program offers a method based on the 5 Ds of distracting, delegating, documenting, directing and dialoguing, which help men and women to safely intervene in this situation.
