Gray Group chooses Brazilian creative as new global CCO
Gabriel Schmitt to occupy the chair that belonged to Javier Campopiano, who went to McCann Worldgroup
With the departure of Javier Campopiano to McCann Worldgroup, Gray Group announced the Brazilian Gabriel Schmitt to the chair of global CCO of the company. The creative was at FCB New York, where he was co-CEO.
Schmitt, who will report directly to global CEO Laura Maness, will be based in New York and will work with fellow Brazilian Thiago Cruz.
In Brazil, he worked at Y&R (currently VMLY&R) and Dentsu, from where he embarked on an international career. Gabriel landed in Chicago to be the creative director of FCB. He also passed through KBS before arriving at FCB NY.
