This Wednesday (12), one of the main Disney movies released in 2021, Eternals, arrived on Disney+. Just 69 days after its theatrical release, the film directed by Chloe Zhao came to streaming. Remembering, that Eternals premiered in theaters on November 5, 2021.
It is worth noting that the film arrived with maximum quality on streaming. In addition to 4K quality, Disney+ made the movie available with iMax Enhanced, that is, Eternals is available in the same aspect ratio used for Imax theaters.
Premier Access controversy
The Disney+ debut 69 days after the theatrical release also maintains the company’s current schedule of releasing the films two months after theaters. Previously, the productions arrived simultaneously, with the controversial “Premier Access”. However, Disney closed the appeal after Scarlett Johnson sue the company, with the release of “Black Widow” no streaming.
After Black Widow, “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” arrived on Disney+ just 71 days after its theatrical release. Remembering that in May 2021, the company announced that the releases would be exclusive to the cinema, for at least 45 days, before arriving on streaming.
