Junior Vieira, from Maranhão and living in Rio de Janeiro, joins the production company’s casting
Vector Zero announced the arrival of Junior Vieira to its team of directors. Born in Maranhão and living in Rio de Janeiro, the director and screenwriter attended the International Film and TV Academy, where he studied editing and directing.
For Alberto Lopes, partner and executive director of Vetor Zero, and also responsible for curating the casting of directors and relationship with the market, the director’s arrival “enriches and inspires even more the home team, which brings together a group of multidisciplinary talents”.
As a screenwriter, Junior began his career as one of those responsible for the creation, development and filming of the humor channel Parafernalha and for collaborating with the script for the series A Toca, the first national and exclusive Netflix production that premiered in 2013. In the same year, co-directed, together with Tino Seghal, the project These Associations, winner of the Golden Leo in Venice.
In 2019, he founded the institution Nosso Legado, a platform focused on the production of audiovisual content whose main objective is to reduce inequality in the sector and, in the same year, he created and directed the campaign Quero Ser Feliz, which opened the UN general assembly in New York. and won the award for best Web Advertising at the Web Fest International Festival.
