Cell phones, accessories, household appliances and computer items. These are the items that Brazilians are looking for on Consumer Day, celebrated this Wednesday (15), according to a survey carried out by Shopee.
According to the e-commerce platform, 76% of Brazilians intend to make their purchases on marketplaces and that the average amount invested will be BRL 250, an increase of 18% compared to the 2022 survey.
Consumer Day has already become one of the most important moments in Brazilian retail. The date is an opportunity for small and medium sellers and big brands to bet on promotions and compete for consumer attention. We know that people are looking for convenience and savings opportunities, said Felipe Piringer, Shopee’s Marketing manager.
The survey also pointed out that 45% of people intend to make their purchases during the date, while 75% stated that they only intend to buy something after comparing the prices of products in other applications and/or websites on the internet.
Among the shopping motivations, 62% of respondents stated that they are looking for desired items at a better price and 30% are looking for basic necessities products.
In addition, the survey, carried out in all regions of the country, indicates that the payment methods that consumers most intend to use are credit card (49%), PIX (38%), bank slip (6%), credit card Debit (4%) and other payment options such as cash, payment link and QR Code represent only 1% of users’ preference.
