Havaianas signed a partnership agreement with the Brazilian Olympic Committee (COB) for the Paris 2024 Games. The brand will appear in the Committee’s official communications and in the setting pieces of the 500-day action, in the French capital, which will feature athletes from the Brazilian taekwondo team.
The partnership between Havaianas and COB began in 2020/21, at the Tokyo games and encompassed several initiatives, such as being at the feet of the delegation during the opening ceremony.
It is a source of pride for Havaianas, a brand that is synonymous with being Brazilian, to be on the feet of the athletes who will represent our country, at the opening of one of the most watched events in the world. We are the brand that is with athletes before races, in moments of concentration, and also in moments of rest and relaxation. It was chilling to see the opening of the last edition of the games and I am sure it will be even more exciting in 2024, with the return of the public to the event, said Maria Fernanda Albuquerque, Havaianas global marketing VP.
In addition, the brand was an official supporter of Time Brasil until the end of 2021 and launched a line of licensed products with sandals, T-shirts, jackets and towels, where 7% of all net profit related to the products was passed on to COB to continue investing in athletes and sport.
