In order to further strengthen the relationship with the gaming community and promote Xbox products and services, GMD, a full service marketing agency, created the Xbox Master Class campaign. A set of video lessons, with a unique format, visual identity and language designed to encourage interest, discovery and retention of players on Xbox Game Pass, the brand’s video game subscription service for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Windows platforms.
The strategy revolves around the creative concept “All knowledge must be shared”, therefore, the campaign invited different influencers and specialists in games to present a program with video classes on four different games, teaching strategies, history of evolution of the brand’s franchises and , of course, many amazing tips and tricks.
The idea is that the levels of information grow over the course of the episode and, after watching it completely, the player has enough knowledge about that topic and has baggage to start his journey.
The first class of the initiative had the influencer Jorel who assumed the role of teacher teaching everything needed to embark on the game “Sea of Thieves”.
Lucas Patricio, CEO of GMD, comments:
“Our idea is to bring quality content that permeates the Xbox networks with a completely different approach, through this infotainment material, we will reach those who seek to know more about a game and, consequently, delve into the history of the game, the scenario that it’s in, grabbing the attention of new and veteran Xbox Game Pass players alike.”
