Businesswoman, influencer and activist Nina Silva was one of the highlights of the Meta Summit program, a META event that took place today at the Ibirapuera Auditorium, in São Paulo.
Engaged in the inclusion of the black community in the area of technology and innovation, Nina explained how her avatar NinaVerso (@iamninaverso) became Unicef Brasil’s first virtual influencer in the metaverse.
Developed in partnership with BiobotsTec, an agency for virtual influencers and web3 activations, NinaVerso will be the spokesperson for educational actions that are part of the 1 Million Opportunities (1Mio) project, a project carried out by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) , since 2020. Nina will offer classes on augmented reality, metaverse, avatars and digital entrepreneurship.
NinaVerso will also participate in special events at Unicef Brasil’s virtual spaces within the Upland metaverse. Last December, Unicef Brazil set up a virtual factory in Upland, where it was possible to buy Christmas decorations and the funds generated were allocated to the entity’s social projects for the productive inclusion of young people in the country. The businesswoman said:
“We want representation of the black money community in the metaverse, and we are going to create a neighborhood for the movement within the Upland, with stores, shopping centers, concert halls, in order to enable this type of digital entrepreneurship to impact the lives of our community participants. . web3 is growing and demanding more and more manpower, which is why we are launching this youth training campaign, together with UNICEF Brazil and 1Million Opportunities, which already carry out employability and youth training projects.”
During the Meta Summit, Nina Silva highlighted that the metaverse was designed to generate a more interactive, immersive, collective and open virtual environment for the development of new businesses. Reinforcing how the metaverse is connected to the real world, she interacted live with her avatar on stage at the event.
